Custom Precision Shafts - Stainless Steel & Alloy Steel

Precision shafts machined from stainless steel and alloy steel to customer drawings. Shafts are turned, stepped, grooved and threaded as required, with diameters and journals sized for bearings, bushes, couplings and gear fits.

Materials

Stainless grades are selected where corrosion resistance and clean surfaces matter, while alloy steels suit shafts that need through-hardening or better wear behaviour. The typical selections below are a starting point; the grade is confirmed against the drawing and the intended load at quotation.

Drawing & Ordering

Provide the shaft drawing with the critical diameters, lengths, run-out and any heat-treatment or finish callouts, and the part will be quoted with the achievable process route noted. Where a fit is critical, dimensions are checked against the mating component rather than assumed from the drawing alone.
